Sundays are spent visiting various Church of God congregations across Texas. Today our family helped Frisco Fields Church pass out flyers that were lovingly created by a church member’s personal touch. These were invitations to next week’s fall kick-off. Frisco Fields Church is the newest of our churches in Texas. They are still gathering people and making friends with the community. Lots of young families already call this church home, and children played in the auditorium as we gathered together. Life was evident!
The members had breakfast prepared, and the group shared a game of Jeopardy while we ate. The categories contained interesting factoids and reminders of the families, activities, and overall mission of the church. A word and a prayer led the church out into the community: 3s, 4s, and a few groups of more. We respected the wishes of those homes with “no soliciting” signs, however many flyers were dropped by the West family and others at the beautiful neighboring homes, with a prayer for the families inside being whispered silently at each doorstep.
