Minnie Apple Us

This is where we are staying the next few days. Not the Big Apple in the famous harbor, but the little one northwest of there. My (Cindy's) company is paying for our stay at the Grand Hotel in this northern city, right next door to company headquarters. It was a beautiful ride from Ankeny, Iowa where we stayed last night. The fall color did not disappoint.

Who looks better?

Little did we know, the Ford F350 is too tall for the downtown parking garages without a fear of harm. The valets were willing to park it on the street, but management wouldn't permit. (I wondered if she realized our truck was brand new, and would most assuredly turn heads in front of her posh hotel.)

It started an adventure in search of a car park. Minnesotans are very friendly, and nice, but not very helpful in this department. At the end of the day, we ended up in the airport parking riding the light rail back to the hotel.
