Captain’s Log. Hardate 1546.2.9. As we prepared for our next ride, the heart started pumping and anticipatory anxiety increased while patience decreased. We love to ride! Today was a Sweetheart Ride. Our Valentine’s Day Ride. Just me and my sweetie-pie, one with the road. Destination: Cowboy Harley Davidson in Beaumont, Texas (and ABCs along the way).
The first stop of the day took place at the monthly HOG Chapter meeting. We haven’t been in a couple of months due to Tim’s travel schedule, so it was fun to be in the midst of all these Harley legends. We are still trying to find ways to connect, but it has been challenging with such a large group. The LOH (Ladies of Harley) had a ride planned after the meeting, but we had already made plans of our own.
The cool morning quickly turned into warmer weather, with a long stretch of blue skies covering our heads. We shed layers as the day progressed and the sun beamed down. It was warm for a February day, requiring refreshing in the Air Con at the Cowboy Harley dealership. We were thankful we live in Texas, and not the Northeast where they are getting covered in snow.
It was a relaxing ride, with a total of 9 points for the following ABCs.
4 Counties: San Jacinto, Hardin, Jefferson, and Liberty.
3 Cities: Beaumont, Sour Lake and Kountze
1 Harley Davidson Dealership: Cowboy HD in Beaumont
1 National Park: Big Thickett National Preserve
Total Miles: 262
Note: There is a pattern to our Hardate. The first person to figure it out will win a gift card to Starbucks. Add your comments below for your guess to count.
