Spring in Texas – Hardate 15115.5.5

HARDATE 15115.5.5 This is the Captain’s Log. We are finally experiencing a bit of Texas spring weather, as temperatures soared into the lower 90s. Jumping on the bike with my best friend, donned in summer apparel, we set out to gather a few more points before Tim leaves for yet another business trip. Long sleeves protected us from the sun, and the breeze is still cool enough to be pleasant riding through the forest.

The Post Office has been our convenience stop in the past, but today we looked for something a little more interesting. The City of Anderson was providentially set beside the Grimes County Sheriff’s Department, giving us two points in one location. We like it when that happens!

Our favorite stop in Navasota captures a mural, citing this small town as having surprisingly several points of interest. The drive through town is one of our favorites, with magnificent homes that could be set on a postcard or a southern plantation.

In addition we picked up Walker County for a total of 5 ABC points.

3 Cities:Anderson, Dobbin, Navasota

2 Counties: Grimes, Walker

Until Next Time…
