I’m in San Antonio attending the TAMFT state conference, and I just attended a session about how to use social media, blogs, websites, etc. to connect with people. The presenter said it’s better not to have a blog or website than to have one that has not been updated. Of course I know this, but honestly I didn’t realize until I just looked that it has been nearly eight months since I updated our blog. I promise to try and do better.
Random updates…
Tomorrow our little grand baby turns ONE! We are having a party for her this weekend, and I can’t wait. That should be worth blogging about! She’s already walking all over the place, has eight teeth, and has stolen my heart.
On another note, I got my motorcycle license, and I have been riding my own bike! It’s just a little Sportster, but fun to learn on. I got my first ABC point of the year in early January, on my own bike. It was a major accomplishment just getting out of the neighborhood! Tim and I have been riding on the big bike collecting points, and it has been quite a year already. We already have twenty-five points in less than a quarter of the year, so we are well on our way to meeting our 100-point goal.
Besides working and overall living a busy life, the real reason I have been neglecting to write here, is because my efforts at writing have been spent elsewhere. I’m writing a book, and it is in the final stages of production. It should be available for purchase in the next couple of weeks. This, folks, is very exciting! Stay tuned, as I will update my blog to let you know how to find it. I may even start a new blog just for this one.
Oh, the presenter also said that a blog without a picture is like a barn without paint, or some other analogy which I can’t currently recall, but you get the picture. Pun intended…
