We have many friends across the state, the country, and around the world. We have been blessed with cards, phone calls, and many, many words of encouragement. Some of you have asked if it’s ok to visit (interestingly enough we haven’t heard this request from our Australian friends – ha ha).
Thank you for your prayers and thoughtful consideration! Visitors are appreciated, and if you decide to visit, here are a few things to consider.
My doctor suggested limiting visitors on the day of surgery. I will need to rest. However, by the next day she said I should feel much better. If you want to stop by, Tim and I would love to say hello. As long as it’s ok with my doctor (and my favorite nurse/hubby), you are welcome and invited to come and see me on Thursday or later. Once I’m home, we would also enjoy the company. While it is a bit impersonal to send a blanket invitation, we hope you understand if we don’t reach out to everyone individually. Please contact Tim if you are planning a visit and he can best tell you when and where to come.
I don’t know how else to say this, but if you are sick, or have been exposed to illness in the past week, please be cognizant of my low blood count. We appreciate your prayers for our family from a reasonable distance until you are feeling better. I pray for your health and healing in advance.
This will be my last blog before surgery, so I’m signing off until then. I look forward to the day I can write and tell you everything went well.
Blessings!
